Presentation of the ecoprint technique and some mordanting basics for vibrant and crisp colours, the best plants for good results and the materials needed
Harvesting plants in and around the garden
Realisation of prints on different papers and cooking them
Lunch break
Introduction to vegetal dyeing on fabric and shibori (knotting technique)
Opening of printed, baked and cooled papers
Tea break and reflection on the day’s work.

Small group of 4 people maximum (minimum 3 people)

Environment: village house situated 4 km from the village of Issigeac where there are shops and restaurants
The house, workshop and rooms are non smoking and we have 4 cats and 1 dog

Ecoprint on paper and fabric, natural dyeing - 3 days
Presentation of the ecoprint technique and some mordanting basics for vibrant and crisp colours, the best plants for good results and the materials needed
Harvesting plants in and around the garden
Experimentation of the technique on paper and on different fabrics ( silk, wool, coton, linen)
Printing a silk scarf
Introduction to vegetal dyeing – different baths and modifying – fabric preparation and mordanting with various recipes.
A summary of the course with all the information and recipes will be sent to you by email at the end of the course in PDF format
You will leave with your creations and many samples
Price: 400€ (lunch included)
Deposit of 100€ to be paid on registration. Balance to be paid no later than one week before the course

Monoprint - gelling-print - 1 day
Presentation of the printing technique and the many possibilities it offers, with a gelatin plate, paint and various objects for the prints.
Creation of your monotypes (unique prints) on paper – backgrounds and sharp images using fresh or dry leaves, paper cutouts and various unusual objects…
Experiments with the technique on fabric
Realization of an artist’s booklet with your creations
The technique is simple and fun. No need to know how to draw or paint. Fun guaranteed!
